My dog has a little bump on her gum right behind her little front teeth. I always thought this was the natural structure of a dog's mouth.
Today I noticed one of her little front teeth is browner than the others, and now I am all in a panic if that bump is actually an abcess. She has no problem bitting or chewing. Do all dogs have that bump??? |

Yes- they do!!! I was all freaked out about that when my dog got her teeth out- since she got her front teeth taken, I thought maybe she had an abscess or something
One nice thing about having two dogs, is you can check for "normal things" on the other dog!! He has it too...................so its normal |

Mum2mutts THANKS so much for your reply!!! I feel so relieved now!.
Well, not really sure on her age. Got her from the pound 2 years ago. I think she might be around 5-6. The other teeth are pretty white tho and she has clean teeth (eats raw veggies and gets knuckle bones). |

Yep, mine have it too. I think we all have it to some degree - even i have a little bump behind my front teeth, but it's not nearly as big as the dogs' bumps!

It could be normal, it could be an epulus. My Aussie has two of them that I need to go get removed again. They're most common in Boxers, but do crop up in other breeds.
Most likely it's just natural structure though.
