I want another Turkish Van cat....or two. I have four cats, but i miss the Van, Raffi.




That was Raffi. Vans are just different. He was intensely social, came when called, would fetch a ball. He liked to take bubble baths with the kids. He always knew when my son got off from school and went flying to him as soon as he was home.

Now John (the son that belonged to Raffi) plans to put a deposit on a couple of Van kittens with his first paycheck when he graduates and gets a job.

I want a hairless guinea pig. I've wanted one for ages, but no one has them here. In cold IL they were easy to find..here in the toasty desert, no nekkid pigs..go figure.

I wanted a Persian or Exotic for 8 years and finally adopted one a few months ago. He's the grandest sweet guy ever.

Grab, there are two kinds of nekkid guinea pigs - there are "Skinny Pigs" who have a bit of hair on their heads and feet, and there are "Baldwins" that have no hair at all. I have seen a "Skinny Pig" for sale once in a local Petsmart, but I have not seen one for sale again since. These two varieties of guinea pigs are quite rare in my area as well.

One of my coworkers used to have skunks. Very interesting pets! They like to dig, though. They had to have all hardwood floors because whenever the skunks got bored they would rip up all the carpet. Other than that, very cool!

Holy Cow! I've never seen the pewter and VPI axanthic spider color varieties before. Absolutely stunning!




Hmmm... my non-dog wants... there isn't anything that I'm pining for at the moment, but there are a few things that I'm quite interested in

Ball Python or Corn Snake. I've had little snakes before, and I used to work at the Children's Museum with their big snakes. It's been a while, but it would be fun to do again. I think every has their snake picture fix so I'll leave it at that!

Chinchilla. I've wanted one of these since I was a little kid. I haven't thought about it so much recently, but they are still neat! I like the standard gray and blond variaties... and of course I can't find any good images of the blondes right now.

Rabbit. I particularly like the Black and Tan color...

Oh! And himalayan! Honestly, though, any animal with siamese points makes me swoon. I have a soft spot for that fur pattern.


More Rats. I'm taking a rat break after Novi... but I still love them and want them. Someday I really really REALLY want a blue dumbo, but any blue will do.

Of course, I also ADORE siamese ratties...

(That is my old girl Poke, RIP.)

And last, but not least, I want a pair of fennec foxes. Not likely to happen in a long long LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time, but I wants. What can I say? I'm obsessed with foxes, and these are the only ones that really can live in a house. (I'd really love to have a red fox, but they are very destructive indoors, and I just don't think it would be all that fun for either me or the fox if they only lived in an outdoor enclosure.)

Noooo... she can't do that. Her landlord lives with her, and would go apesh!t over a snake in the house. I've seen her expression when the topic has been brought up - it wouldn't be pretty if Amber hid a snake and Jo found out.

She's my favorite kitty on flickr, lol. I got to meet a male (nearly 30lbs, and not overweight at all) at the cat show just like her. I love the orange Maine Coons, and the peach shade is just exquisite.

Other than that, not many non-dog wants... no rodents, no birds, no exotics, no horses or cows.

hahaha ya... don't you love how her eyes get all big and she says, "NO YOU WILL NOT have one in MY house!" hahahahaha

Tim and Devon said I could continue to keep Silas at their house for now as long as I pay to feed him, etc etc. They live down the street a bit so they're not far at all. I'm eventually going to be moving out of here and getting a place or Jo and I will both be moving out and getting an apartment together. If we get an apartment together my name is going on the lease and that snake will be moving in with us regardless of what she says. lol.

So should I accept Devon's offer on Silas?

I say you do it - if Silas is anything like most of the other members of his species... he's a kickarse snake! I say offer to pay for his foood and upkeep until you can get a place of your own.
