Silar the Red Doberboy!
Yes, its true, FOHA actually has a red Doberman on the property! On the rare occasion that FOHA does have a dobie, its always been black & tan. I was going to wait to post these pics until tomorrow with the rest of the dog pics, but, Noludoru persuaded me to post them tonight. I suppose he is gorgeous enough to deserve his own thread!
Silar (pronounced Sy lar, was Elvis, but FOHA has already had too many Elvis's) is about four years old, and was pulled from Fairfax County VA Animal Shelter today. He had been returned there three times, and they wanted FOHA to find him a forever home this time. Silar has an embedded collar scar from one of those homes. It is pretty much healed up, it just needs to grow some hair. Silar is incredibly sweet, loves pets and is a velcro dog, like a doberman is supposed to be. It is up in the air whether he likes other dogs, as the people who had him most recently said that he is "defensive". We don't know if he likes cats, he will be cat tested at some point. Silar is housebroken, good in the car (will curl up in the backseat, but prefers a lap), and walks well on a gentle leader. Silar is neutered. On to pics! Hai, I iz Silar.  Will you pet me? The poor boy--that is one ugly collar scar. Not as wide as Uncle Fred's, but so deep all the way around. I wish I could have him, he would fit right in here. What a gorgeous boy otherwise.

Oh he's a cutie! I am sure you won't lack for interested parties..........I just hope they find the RIGHT interested party this time.
Poor guy, I am sure he's been through quite a lot in his 4 short years

I have to stay even farther away from FOHA now... at least while he's there because oh my... it's a good thing he's not a female because I can just see myself trying to figure out ways to make it work in my household... oy vey... he is soooo beautiful. Looks like a sweetheart.
