Default Grim's headbanging

Ok guys, this dog has one thing after another going on! Lately Grim has been doing this thing with his head that can only best be described as headbanging. He doesnt' hit his head on anything, but looks like his listening to heavy metal. He'll also do it on a towel or something, where it looks like he's trying to get his head under the towel by pushing it up so his head gets under it, and he'll do it over and over.

How old is he? Alzheimers?
I don't really know much about this. Obviously sounds like something neurological, though.

I have a video of it on my phone, but don't know how to post it to here.

My first thought is "ear infection".
