My husband's colleagues were aware of our daughter's efforts to gain admission to veterinary school. They also knew of his financial concerns should her goal be realized. Immediately after receiving her letter of acceptance from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Amy called her father at the office. He was away from his desk, but he returned to find this message: "Bob — call your daughter. Forget retirement." |

that's goes for anybody who owns a horse too... in the long run, the horse is the least expensive part!! that's also what my parents will say when they're paying for my brother's and my college tuition at the same time.

Congrats on Amy's accomplishment! Many people don't realize that it's much more difficult to get into vet school than it is to get into med school. I know you're very,very proud of her. Now, start looking for grants, scholarships, change left in vending machines . . .
