Black golden retrievers?

well all im trying to say is that flat coats can be found in only the western hemisphere of the world. Since i am from the UK i have to have my dogs shipped over seas. Flat coats seem to learn how to "settle" there faster but i've really never been to the united states. I was wondering if anyone would be able to send me a brief message, telling me what dog shows are like there? thank you.

There may be some flat coat retriever in the blood lines even is it is from way back it could of showed up.

Isn't black a dominant gene? If so it cannot skip generations. Unlike recessive genes, dominant genes need only one copy of the gene to show the trait, whereas recessives need a matched pair.

black can too skip generations..mary's mom was yellowlab and her dad was a german shorthair with ticking of cocoa and white..Tate had 8 shiney black puppies..just like marbles..Tate's mama was yellow and her dad was blacklab.

In German Shepherds, black is the least dominat color:

There are 4 main color alleles for GSDS.

In order of dominant to recessive.
Sable
Black & Tan
Bi-Color
Black

I don't know what that means to other breeds, but in the GSD black is recessive
