Unhappy New rescue girl

I found this dog as a stray in a high traffic area today with no collar or tags. As soon as I picked her up she yelped like she was being killed. I rushed her to the Vet where she had a thorough exam w/ x rays.

Luckly she has no internal injuries but is 9 plus years old, has horrible ear infections, is infested with fleas, going blind, and has a few fatty tumors. She is also pretty underweight.

Say a prayer for this girl. I'm going to watch her for a few days and will have an update once she has some good care & medicine.

BTW, she has the sweetest temperament, a true doll so far.

Poor old girl. Why do people do that to such old dogs? Or at all . . . but espcially to old faithful dogs . . .there's a special place in he!! for people like that.

I keep coming back and looking at these pictures. Poor, sad old girl. I can't imagine why her owners would do this do her.

Thanks guys.

She seems to be potty trained, good with other dogs & cats, has a very sweet personality, etc....I am finding out though that she is at least partialy deaf along with all her other problems.

She spunked up a little last night and seems like she is really enjoying the TLC she's getting.

Her screaming episodes do not appear to be health related. I can pet her, run my hands over her, she has had bloodwork & x rays done but even something like putting Frontline on her makes her scream like she is in severe pain. Once I make sure she is as healthy as she can get I need to work on her behavior problems. Maybe after time and trust she will figure out I am not going to hurt her.

I'll post more pics later. She actually looks very happy sometimes.

She seems to be getting used to her surroundings. Does she look happier? Ehhh, probably not.....I don't think she likes the camera.
