Hope the puppy is doing better.
Depending on just how ethicl this person is, and that doesnt sound good. She may have to fight in ccourt over it.
Either way be sure your friend does alot of research and homework in the future on getting a health gaurantee, finding and spotting a reputable breeder, ect.

Prayers going out to the puppy.

I'm also wondering how last night went, how this little pupper is... =<

This is a horribly painful lesson for your friend to have to learn... just crushing. I'm so sad for her.

I JUST spoke with my friend.

They had to put the puppy down. Oh, puppy's name was "Spooky" (she was a black pug and they picked the name before they got her).

She said it was HORRIBLE. HORRIBLEHORRIBLEHORRIBLE. And she spent most of yesterday just emotional unstable because of it.
She is angry beyond belief about it and just so upset.

Spooky, apparently, started playing and actually had a bowel movement the night before her last vet appt.
But the morning of her vet appt. she crashed horribly.

And because her veins were SOOOO constricted, they had to give her the "agent" directly in her abdomen, so it took longer for her to go. And it was a more-than-usual painful event to witness due to where they had to inject her.
Since they couldn't get a vein, the puppy went slower than what would normally happen.

It was just bad. And she's going to do what she can to sue the crap out of this breeder.

Oh, I am so sorry. That's horrible. RIP Spooky.

Make sure your friend gets good legal advice, and checks to see if, say, Animal Services will reprisent her. Unfortunately, the claim will be small enough that its going to be hard to find a lawyer to take it, or if she does, the lawyer may cost more than she gets

Well, I wonder what the fact that she's already filed a report AGAINST the breeder with Animal Services, will do?

I don't know. She should call and ask. They may have an enforcement mechanism in place and will stand in her behalf if she goes to court. That would be ideal.

Just heartbreaking - these are the lessons we so desperately hope people will not have to learn first hand...

I hope something comes out of legal action against this breeder.
