Was that for my terrier comment? If so, I know that.. but it's not as big a concern with them as it seems to be with terriers. When I posted that I thought of Bahamutt having to separate her APBTs all the time, and then your recent thread about Zo and Dekka, etc. Not that I mind that you commented on it, and if I'm way off base on terriers, please let me know. I just based that on what I've heard over the years.

Not exactly. Your comment just made me think of other comments, so was a handy example when I was replying.

As to your question- JRTs and APBT yes, but most terriers are NOT anywhere near that level. Pretty much on par with Tollers. Most tollers I know don't tolerate rudeness. Some are more lenient, other are VERY strict.

I'm definately not going to exclude any particular breed, but I can say that I won't actively search out the following:

-Anything with a squishy face (boxers, bulldogs, etc)
-Anything that is small but not fluffy (Chis, IGs, etc)
-Anything that is naturally barky (Shelties, Poms, etc)

However, if I found a Sheltie that was quiet and not overly shy (reserved with strangers is fine, the dog needs to be somewhat outgoing with me, and able to tolerate strangers), that would be fine.

I'm much more into the individual dog and it's personality then the breed traits as a whole. Another reason that I probably will never do the puppy thing - I like to know exactly what I'm getting.

Chihuahua
Chinese Crested
Pomeranian
JRT
Chow

These breeds just wouldn't work for me personally.

Top 5 that I will not own.
Goldens.
Labs.
Pugs
Lhaso apsos.
Shitzus

All for differnt reasons. But I dont mindother peoples lab/goldens/pugs/shitzus/lhasoapsos

I don't think there is a breed of dog that I "wouldn't" own. Although, i'd never go out search for certain breeds, if I come across a rescue dog of any breed that really needs a home, and if the time is right, chances are that it may very possibly be coming home with me. I pretty much have a passion for all dogs, although there are some that do have a very special place in my heart.... I wouldn't say that there is any breed that i'd never own.

see you learn new things every day! except for the large lips(?) they dont look like a mastiff to me at all! Although they're large, they're very thin... and when I think mastiff, I think massive! LOL.

There isn't a breed I wouldn't own, I would take in any dog that needed me!! (All my dogs will be shelter dogs, most likely mixed breeds). But I wouldn't actively seek:

Golden Retrievers
Labrador Retrievers
Any form of setter
Pit bulls (The only bully breed I would seek is a Bull Terrier)
Any mastiff
Any bulldog
Shi-tzus, Maltese, Lhasa Apso, any other fluffy foo foo dog!

I think that's about it

I want to say (since it wont let me edit now lol) that I would own one of these breeds if one fell in to my lap so to say. But I would never seek out any of these breeds. No squished in face breed would beable to stay with me any way. Im far to active with my dog(s) and a squished faced breed would not beable to go hiking in 30c wheather for 3 hours a day ect.
