He said in the OP they were shih-tzus.... I think he would've said if they were mixes.

I am monitoring the pups along with my wife about their feeding and plan to get a tube feeding setup ready just incase. also I have gotten good suggestions for bottles which I will use if any issues come up.
Yep, they are definitely nursing, then. Did you try the fenugreek?

And I ditto what everyone else said... LOL when you have a litter it definitely makes you a breeder. Here we are fans of responsible breeding, which means health testing dogs (the most important thing about breeding, IMO, in addition to temperament and conformation) for inheritable diseases to ensure their offspring have the best chance at a healthy life. It's too late to get both parents tested in preparation for a litter, in any case, so right now I think something good for us to focus on is giving you suggestions for a good puppy contract - a good contract will really help you and them in their future homes. I know there are basic template ones floating around on the internet somewhere..

I also agree with what has been said about your "breeding" practices (Which does make you a breeder, and not a good one either).

I really, really hope you get that dog spayed as soon as possible (When the puppies are gone).

Default pick it apart and have a melt down plz

unbelievable. I checked on the male's registeration and found out it was photoshopped and purchased through ebay. I'm not even sure if he's shih tzu or what. I said I wasn't a breeder because I didn't even know they were doing things untill she (the 10 month old dam was preggorz omg). The puppies are doing great. I got them on a fresca and cheeto diet. puppy food is to expensive, plus the cute little orange smiles are heavenly.

I recently purchased some cats to throw into the whelping box since they are pregnant too. figured it worked for the dogs it can work for the cats too. Not sure bout their fathers since I'm not a breeder but I think I can make some good money off them as well (one puppy I sold for a ps3 but the one controller isn't working right). *sigh* I have one of the puppies training to be a hunting dog even though it's not in his nature. we go out 5am every morning and find all sorts of things to hunt for in alley ways and behind walmarts. he's got fleas now. need to get some bleach for those I think. I don't plan on having any of my animals fixed except for those cats.

i know I should of got the tests done because the dam has always had a weird eye twitch thing were it goes googly for a second and have noticed this trait passed onto the puppies. it only happens for a hour or so so hopefully sellers won't notice right away. i'll just sell to whoever doesn't want a contract so it should be cool.

Sarcasm, nice.

Members of this forum are passionate about responsible breeding practices, and can be a bit rough around the edges regarding them - but they're RIGHT.

Please, instead of getting defensive, LEARN from your mistakes and get your bitch spayed!!

Any BYB can register their dogs with the AKC.
Oh thank God we don't have to worry.... For a second I thought you were a responsible breeder and would actually show (health test and title) your dogs... Phew! That was a close one!
