Males are picky

Is it me or do most male dogs are just really picky eaters and from time to time they are just sooooooooo naughty.

My Dog is not Pickey at all he gobbles down any food we give him.

that's nice. I worry when Toki doesn't eat for 2 days straight. And i do not want to spoil him with human food.

Boris is picky too. Most of the time he will sniff his food and look at me, and lie down... then go back to sniff his food, to finally eat after a few minutes. When he doesn't, I take my nicest voice, look at him in the eye, and tell him that he should eat, while I take the food bowl and show it to him. It usually works

Bimmer's not picky, but he would prefer to graze rather than eat all at once. But the evil Riot Grrrrrls won't let him

It just depends on the dog. I work at a kennel looking after Newf's the females and males are just as big of gobblers as the other. I found some breeds can be slow eaters and some small dogs can be picky no matter the sex of the dog. I would say that 8 out of 10 Shelties I get in for boarding are picky, Maltese, Shih Tzus, Lhasa's etc. and Lab's, Retrievers, Newf's and Rotties are my biggest eaters even in a stressful setting such as a boarding kennel.
At home all my dogs are equally big eaters, my males are the greediest and quickest.
