Thunder was diagnosed with hip displasia at just 4 mos and has undergone surgery on both hips. He is however our success story! He's doing great and we now carry pet insurance! (his surgeries (T*ripple P*elvic O*steoctomy) was approx. 6K!)
We have done a lot of research/reading on this so if we can help anyone out we would be glad to answer any questions.

Hi,
we had a sheltie that had hip displasia also he was 5 years he was such a good dog and we had to put him to sleep because he also had kindey deseace the vet it would be better for him because he was in pain i really miss him he was the best we waited a couple of years to get another one it took a long time to get over it and get a new one we are better but of course still miss him we just got a new dog and indid up geting 2 dog just a couple of months ago one is sheltie mix and the other is husky the husky is 10 weeks we just got her a week ago and the sheltie mix a few months ago like i said. he is 8 months they play so good! and are the best dogs.
i hope the hip displasia is better now.
