Default Teething!

Wow! Morgan just lost a puppy tooth! Well, he's lost a couple now, actually. But all the others he has lost or eaten. This time he was chewing on his rope toy and the tooth just fell out.

I am really tempted to stop by my dentist's office just to get one of those toothfairy boxes that they give to little kids. I don't know what I would do with it after that point... but that's not the point right now!

Raising a puppy is just so much fun. Maybe I'm weird, but it is!

You're not weird at all. I've never had children so I didn't even know about toothfairy boxes. I would have gotten one for my dog if I had known. You're a special mommy!

Thanks for the reassurance. It's nice to hear when people think I'm NOT crazy!

I don't have kids, either. I just remember that my mom used to get little toothfairy boxes for my brothers and I. I wonder if they still even do that? Hmmm... guess I'll never know until I ask!

Now I just have to figure out what to do with the tooth! Lol!

That is a neat idea! I dunno of the tooth is really big enough to string onto a necklace or anything... I'm afraid it would break if I tried to drill a hole through it. That... and it's a puppy tooth! It's sharp! I'd probably hurt myself trying to wear it.

I'm going to brainstorm some on this idea, though, and see if i come up with something that works...

Want me to mail you one? I'm sure I could get two from my dentist.

I was thinking of making a scrapbook for Morgan, but I don't know what else I would put in it... other than the tooth, of course. I've never made a scrapbook before, I have no idea how I would get started!

And thank you all for not thinking I'm weird! I love this place!!

What goes in a scrapbook?? PICTURES!! I think that's the best part of any scrapbook. Like, you could put the tooth in the book, along with a picture of what he looked like when he lost the tooth - how big he is, etc. You could also put in those old puppy collars that he grew out of, or if you made a particularly large toy-purchase at the petstore, you could even put in the receipt!

No, I've actually never done a scrapbook myself, but I keep telling myself I should.

Oriental trading sells tooth boxes. We use them with kids in school all the time. They have several styles.

Ooo... I didn't even think of that! I even have a subscription to their magazine!
Going back to look...
