Size of signatures

The signatures keep getting bigger - it's starting to be as irritating as ads when scrolling through a thread. Wouldn't want a dial-up connection.

I recently downsized mine.

I've been on other forums that have set "maximums" for signatures. Initially it was a hassle, but after awhile it made things a lot easier.

Mods and others - is this something we could enact? Also - I wonder if those of us that know how to make signatures could resize existing sigs to help the "effort" if something like this is enacted.

Just my thoughts on the issue...

I am pretty sure this issue has been brought up before.

I know there is an option to not display the signatures if you have dial up or don't want to be bothered.

I know when I have been PMd saying that my siggie was too wide I adjust it........I hate scrolling sideways myself and don't want to cause others to do it

I think a PM should suffice - like Coop said, what's too big for your screen may not be for others.
For example, my laptop automatically re-sizes pics on the forum so everything fits nicely Sweet, huh? lol
If mine (or any I've made for other people) is too big, please PM me! I can always re-size them, and I don't want to be annoying!

I love most peoples signatures and love looking at them... I especially like the talented people who change theirs frequently...

like others have said... if you dont like looking at signatures you can disable them and then you only see the posts and arent bothered.

I personally don't mind looking at signatures - I actually really like them - but sometimes they get too big for easy viewing. Too bad there isn't an option to not view *certain* signatures. Nothing personal of course, just that sometimes they're too big and they detract.

This gets brought up periodically in this forum and there are rules in place for how wide your siggie can be. If you feel that someone's siggie is too big feel free to pm them and nicely ask them to resize. Or bring it up with a moderator and we'll do it. When I was on dial up I just turned siggies off and it made a world of difference. Turned avvies off too. Nice clean look

Mine too--and since I have made quite a few of the siggy's lately--if they look too big, I have no idea since it all fits on my computer fine! Certainly let me know if they are too big--because I can't tell!

Also, it is very easy to resize them if people want to.
