Yeah, it's been suggested. I don't know why they don't do it. they seriously have a good sized piece of property. Probably three acres. they could fence off just part of it and it wouldn't affect their precious front yard layout.

I really don't like people like that. They need to think about the safety of their animals and not "oh, how's this gonna make my yard look?" If they get a nice fence they could actually improve the look of their home. I told my husband I don't care WHAT our house looks like, when we finally buy, we are definetely putting up a fence.

I know. Well, I'm not getting any more rabbits unless I see one that really needs to be rescued.

I just want to say I'm so sorry to hear what happened. I've never had a rabbit but always felt like I knew yours and they were a part of our family.

Maybe you could suggest one of those already-built chainlink kennels to them. Are the dogs outside dogs?

They have six dogs in total! I forgot to mention that. And they all sleep inside.

Saje,

What a terrible story!! I have 2 bunnies (Cedrick and Sammy) and I am absolutely in love with them. I would be so devastated if this happened to them... I am truly saddened by what happened to you.

Possibly you need to go talk with these people yourself, so they can see the loss this has caused you. Maybe then they will put up a fence or keep the dogs leashed. And if they don't, you certainly have every right to call the pound the next time those dogs are out.

We had a hawk scare once -- came outside to discover a hawk was about to take off with little Sammy. It was a very close call!! The boys stay inside the house now.

Hugs from Cedrick and Sammy!

I'm so sorry, Saje! I'm just now reading this thread. That's so sad...

Irish, why would coons get into and kill rabbits? They don't kill "one of their own", do they? I thought they just liked crayfish, fish, and berries?

Oh Saje, I can't believe how you must feel. I can't believe people just let their dogs do stuff like that. I'm so mad at your landlord. Atleast they spent their life with the best owner they could possibly have.

Thistle and Willow wanted to send their hugs.

I know how you feel, My sister and I lost 4 rabbits between us before we got these two. you gave them the best chance you could without locking them up and givin them miserable lives.
