Ya guys, Nolu is right. My neighborhood is not great. There's a lot of gang violence and very strange people. It's one of those areas where if you say something to someone then you risk either getting seriously injured or killed.

Definetly call.
A while back we were at home and Mac just would NOT stop barkign and growling. We eventually turned off the TV and listened and there was some guy beatng the crap out of a dog a couple of blocks away, we called the police and drove over to check it out. We parked outside the apartment block of where we heard it coming ffrom but it had stopped by now. We waited for the police and then we heard the dog start screaming again and some guy yelling and swearing, mum drove into the driveway, blasted the horn and screamed at the top of her voice to leave the dog alone. We heard swearing but he stopped, we parked and waited for the cops for about 20 minutes. No doubt a dog being hit by a drunk wasn't high on their priority list, we went home and kept an ear out bur didn't hear it again. Poor dog.

I hope something will come of this. It sucks that the system requires the poor dog to be beaten over and over (or within an inch of it's life) before they take it away and actually DO something about it.
