Default to stud or not to stud

how old would a cavalier king charles spaniel need to be to stud out

and could someone tell me pro's and cons

only reason i thought to do it is because we have not had him fixed yet ot decided to and he looks like he could use a release and we want one of his pups if possable

Ok....I don't think dogs need "a release", but I'm no professional in any ways so I could be wrong.

Not. The best thing for his health and to keep the surplus population of dogs down would be to neuter him.

How come you got your dog at 5 1/2 months and not at the usual 8-12 weeks? Or did you not get from a breeder?

dogs can live long and healthy lives without being a stud dog..neutering will save your dog from certain cancers..i think you need to investigate, and talk with your vet as well as other breeders.

i'd have him neutered, as far as im aware it prevents some forms of cancer and illnesses (please correct me if im wrong)
