to let my little baby grow up anymore!

Today we I went to put him up for his nap, he tried climbing out of his crib... He slung his leg over and lifted himself up so that he was straddling the top railing.

Uh oh! time for a toddler bed!
So i didnt feel safe putting him back into the crib knowing that he can climb out of it now.

So untill we can get a toddler bed, I took his mattress from the crib and put it on the floor.

Now i fully expected him to just run around his room all night playing (i made sure that there was nothing he could hurt himself with)

Well, about 45 minutes after i put him up in bed for the night, I went up to check on him...

this is what I saw...



WOW I never expected him to be asleep... let alone on his bed (well, mostly)

btw- I was too tired to take down the crib tonight, so I just left it up. It'll get taken down tomorrow.

Ugh... his pillow is nasty dirty... he really really needs a new one.

SOMEBODY STOP THIS! HE'S GROWING UP WAAAAYYYYY TO FAST!

earlier today I left to go to the grocery store and he stayed here with my mom. As I was walking through the kitchen to leave (he was at the table eating fruit loops) he said "Bye Momma love you!"

Im with ya. Beverly is ready for her crib I jsut have one more thing to do then she moves out of her bassinet by my bed .

If you have to buy one, go ahead and at least get a regular twin size bed. A youth/toddler bed won't last long enough to be worth fooling with and you'll just have to turn around and spend more money on a regular bed in a short time.

renee- well we were going to get one of those nice twin sized race-car beds for free, my mom's friend's son was going to get a new bed (he's out of the race car thing, lol) but at the last moment she decided to give it to someone else.
Which sucks becuase we had already boughten sheets and everything for it...
those things are $300 new... i cant afford that.

we'll see what we can do.

I know how you feel. I'm "upgrading" Cole's room decor from Winnie the Pooh to the Disney Cars theme since he's sooooo into cars right now. (I'll admit.....I'm a huge Tow Mater fan )

As I prepare for the soon arrival of the next one, it's hard for me to let Cole go and be a "big boy" because it seems like yesterday I was in the hospital having him. Time sure flies by.................

We sell the 3012 model for about $200 without the drawers. The 3016 (which is really nice because the full bed gives you room to lay down and take a nap with him or sleep there if he's sick and you want to keep an eye on him) should be around $270 or so.

Plus there are a lot of other pieces you can add as you want. They aren't expensive, but they're very well made, from REAL WOOD *gaspshock* and they're still made in the U.S., down in Alabama. It's almost impossible to find wood furniture that isn't imported anymore, and what is made in the U.S. is usually terribly expensive. This stuff is a real find.
