If you are doing highway driving... and hardly need a trailer, why do you want a truck at all? Just because of looks?
I don't think I'd ever wanna cough up $500+ a month for a car payment... that's insane to me. And with gas prices going up and up and up... make sure you'll still be able to fill up that tank!

umm what are you going to be doing with it? (other than hwy)
We have had a few 150 Fords and they worked great. We now have an older 350 (1 tonne) dually and a 2002 (?) 250 extended cab V 10-evil on gas, but is a sweet tow vehicle. And then as I am not independantly wealthy, or even close to it, I drive a 2003 Kia Rio. (we figured it out, we would save enough on gas in 2 years to fully pay for the Kia) |

I want a truck for the dogs. I dont like Vans and my sunfire isnt cutting it for dogs. I LOVE the tundras but they are wickedly expensive around here.
I am buying new because thats what I prefer. Personal choice. Also I dont really like driving cars, unless its at the truck/car shows and Im racing.

I don't like vans either ICK hehe
I have small dogs so the kia works for me: ![]() What about a mid sized SUV? Safer for the dogs, better on gas, better for the environment, and cheaper. Are you going extended cab with the trucks? I would test drive first. I personally like the Ford and Dodge trucks best. |

If you can go the SUV route, we have a 4 runner and are thrilled with it.
