Default A few concerns about my pup...

We recently had Oz fixed and everything seems to be healing up normally, its been about two weeks and hes almost completely healed, but.... When I check his scabs and where his testicles used to be, I can feel two little lumps, almost like two little testicles where his, well, balls were. Is this normal? The vet checked it at ten days and said everything was fine, but still... Im not sure what those are, and the previous dogs that we had that were neutered didnt have those, atleast that I can remember...

Also, he seems to just fall down the stairs and up the stairs sometimes. Like he forgets where his back feet are.. I normally wouldnt worry, but hes done it a few times now, and you think he would learn, however, he keeps hitting his back feet one the edge of the stairs walking up and stumbling. This only seems to happen on the three stairs leading off the deck into the yard. Is he just being a goof, or should I take him back to the vet?

I have no idea i am sorry. I imagine there is scar tissue. The little stray i have i believe has been spay for you can feel a very hard ridgey bump here and there where the surgery would have been. Some dogs are clumsy, i would keep watching tho and see if it improves or worsens.

The bumps are normal. I have no idea what they are, but Milo has them. I think they're like, glands or something? or scar tissue but they seem too like....nice and smooth to be scar tissue.

If the falling down the stairs is new, that is a little odd. Milo does that all the time though. Like he either stumbles going down or forgets to put his back feet high enough going up. And then he's hanging on with his front legs while his back legs are straight out all "helpppppp i'm fallinggggg"! He seems to do it more when he's tired, too.

Im going to keep checking them, just to make sure. Keeping him quiet will be a feat in itself.

*is very afraid to google image "dog penis" but needs to do it anyway because she doubts Milo wants to volunteer as a puppy nude model*

ok...so see where the scar/incision is on that guy? The uhh...skin that was left over after they took his bits away, i suppose it is.

Anyway, after Milo healed up there, he's got these lumps there. Almost look like marbles under his skin. Right right right at the base of his sheath, almost as if it's just the way he's shaped. I never questioned it until reading this thread, is that like what you're talking about?

Erm, I know what you are talking about, and Im pretty sure thats not it. I think that has more to do with arousal than surgery.

Ozzy feel like two small little lima bean/pea shaped things IN his now empty sack. They feel like little testicles, like they did when he was about twelve weeks old and I was making sure both of them were dropping normally.

(The things we do to our dogs!!!! ROFL!)
