Default 10 month old puppy having trouble going inside

My dog Mack is 10 months old. He has been doing REALLY good with the housebreaking for quite awhile. It seems these past two weeks or so he will go inside (mostly pee) and won't signal that he has to go outside. Last night he did it in our bedroom when we were getting ready to lay down (and he had just been out an hour or hour and a half previously and didn't drink any water since he had been out last). Tonight he went while I was playing fetch with him in the kitchen. I was just about to throw his toy and he just went without warning (agian he had been out maybe an hour and a half previous and had drank only a small amount of water). I was wondering if these accidents could be because he hasn't been neutered yet (he's going in tomorrow to get neutered). He seemed to be doing really good and then all of a sudden he stopped trying to tell us that he had to go outside. Is it easier to housebreak once they are neutered?

My boyfriend got a little dog named boston about 6 months ago and he lives in an apartment and works all day. We have tried everything with this dog and sometimes he learns sometimes he does it again. We got puppy pads for him and tried that, it didn't work. Matt will take him outside and say go pee-pee and wait and when he does he praises him for it and when he doesn;t he'll put him in a crate-15 minutes later do the same thing again until he goes to the bathroom. When he messes in the house he gets in trouble and gets put in his crate for about 20 minutes or so and then let outside to go to the bathroom. You have to be really patient bc all dogs learn at different times. Boston is 6 months now and still messes sometimes very rarely but he does. As for the neutered thing i'm not real sure...boston is actually going to get neutered in about 1 week but i was told by a vet for my boxer mix that if was to get neutred it helps the risk of getting cancer and in all dogs it makes them a bit less aggresive. Just try gettin a crate, praise him when he goes and punish him when he doesn;t by putting him in a crate or something like that for 10 to 15 minutes. Just remember he'll eventually get it and won;t mess in the house anymore. Max My boxer mix messed in the house only 2 times. We put him outside every 15 minutes and tried to get him to go outside to where he eventually "understood" that is where he does his business. Good Luck!

well since the neuter Mack hasn't had one accident in the house. I don't know if it had something to do with the neuter or not. Our landlord did say there were three other dogs living in the house previous to us but I don't know if maybe he was marking over their scent or what but he hasn't gone in the house since the neuter.

I know. We are SO relieved that he's done so well.
