It will only let you edit for a certain amount of time after that your not allowed to edit...

Yep, it is an hour, the only reason I know that is because I tried to edit something and I got an Admin notice tell me that 60 mins was the limit.

I think it may also depend on the number of replies after the post that you want to edit? But don't quote me on that one.
