Default USDAA trialing help

Our first trial is this Sunday. I dont know where time has gone... but now it's pressed of learning the rules. We normally do CPE.. but the trials fill up quick around here.

Help??!?!?! Besides rules regarding points are running the courses basically the same? We're in Performance I for Jumpers, Gambers, and Snooker.

I'd really appreciated any feedback. Thanks!

Meredith

I have never done CPE so I am not familiar with CPE rules, but the best place to read up on the rules for USDAA is their website. http://www.usdaa.com/

Jumpers is pretty straight forward, follow the numbers, leave the bars up.

Gamblers has 2 parts, an opening and a closing. In the opening you have a certain amount of time to accumulate as many points as possible. Then you will hear a buzzer which will signal the beginning of the closing. In the closing you will be required to do a sequence of obstacles at a distance.

Snooker also has 2 parts. In a snooker opening you need to accumulate points but before you are "given permission" to take an obstacle for points you need to successfully complete a "red" jump (all obstacles will have colored flags that indicate point value as well as color). Usually there are anywhere from 3 to 4 red jumps. There is a bit more to it but its hard for me to explain and I don't want to confuse you. So my suggestion would be to go to the USDAA website.

Good luck this weekend!!
