Default What to do...

Today, my boyfriend and I are going to the bank to see what our options are on buying a house. ( with our luck, I know we prolly need more money down, and wont get it ) but anyways...

Trixie is my dog, I got all her shots, got her spayed..and when I first moved out for about 6 months with my sister, I took her with me. Well when my sister just up and left on me, I had to move back home.

Since then my parents dog, Bella had to get put down. ( she had fluid in her lungs ) Well, after that I notice my dad has been paying A LOT more attention to Trixie, I can see that he is very attached to her now. He will pet her and tell her to live a long time, and tell her shes not going anywhere..lol..He will lay on the couch with her, and baby her!!

Now, since my boyfriend and I got Skyler, Trixie hardly sleeps with us anymore.

If we get a house, or when we move out. I just don't know what to do?? I mean, Trixie is MY dog, but I feel soooo bad for my dad as I can tell hes really attached to her!

I know what you mean. When Booger first went down I had her here for a few days for some testing and my dad called me every 5 minutes wanting to make sure she was ok. I was discussing keeping her down here with my mom at that point but after that I couldnt do it to him. Plus he gave her more one on one attention then I could.

Do you think she will be happy with just your dad?

awwww..do you get to see her???

I think she would, only because someone will always be home with her, and if we take her...She will be left alone while we are at work. At lease at home, when my dad is at work..My mom would be home!!

I just hate how they always feed her "people food", and they smoke!!..I notice she got bigger since I moved back home, her collar had to be let out some.

Awww, I am sorry!!

Yeah, they get along..but when Trixie is tired, or just wants to rest..you HAVE to leave her alone, else she gets kind of crabby!!...and the puppy does not know that yet, hes just to brave!!

Talk it over with your dad? If you are on the fence about it either way see what he thinks. It all comes down to what you think is best for the dog.

If all else fails you can do shared custody. I know some friends that do that with their pooch. But i really dont know if that would work for you or not.
