It is not done yet, but I have questions. lol, I am nervous to get this done, and I want to get it done, and over with at the same time. After her surgery, should I reduce her food rations? I am feeding her 3 cups now a day, how much should I feed her when she is spayed? Thank you for reading!

I'm guessing it would depend on the dog. When we got Bear neutered, i had to reduce his food by half and walk him more everyday. He was always a heavier dog but after we neutered him, he did gain some weight. So we just fed him less and walked him more until we got him into a groove where he wasn't gaining weight and he's fine now. It took a couple weeks to figure out everything but we got it.

it's really going to depend on her. feed her what you're feeding her and if she starts to get heavy, decrease it. there's really no set amount that a dog should eat- so much depends on activity level, individual metabolism, the food you're feeding, etc.
