lol, I would have said the same thing as you....but I would have wanted to say that she's just confused because her dogs were so fat!
 Alas, I'm not that brave. I think Zoe looks like the perfect weight!

I think she looks great.
So many people are so fast to judge about weights. I see SOOO many over weight dogs, espeacially labs (since they are the most common, and it is easy to see their body shape) and they are just so fat its sad. One lady I know at the dog park has a chocolate lab in amazing shape. Every one always comments on how thin her dog is. Her dog is difined very well. Its sad people think healthy means overweight. Espeacially for breeds like labs where hip problems are very common.

She looks wonderful! I get that a lot with both my dogs but Spanky more so. He has a small frame compared to Bandit and is a slim boy. Every time I take him out someone feels the need to remark on how skinny he is. They always seem to have a porker at the end of their lead too. Your dog looks great. Pay no attention to their comments.

I got the same comments about one of our pups (on the left below). Most people just don't have a good understanding of dogs in general, so don't let it bother you.

I try not to let pups carry much extra weight, because I feel that its not the best thing for their growth. Actually, I try not to let any of my dogs carry too much extra, just because of the health issues it can cause/aggravate.

oh yes, wasting away
 she looks excellent. just ignore the peanut gallery. the average pet dog is a fat sausage, so lots of people don't know what healthy weights look like.
