not so much ate it as made it resemble a blue spool of yarn that went through the garbage disposal.

I only use harnesses at this point for the treadmill and to be belted into the car. The only other time I would use a harness is when I'm conditioning a dog, and want them to have something very comfortable for pulling. I don't find them more secure or convenient than a regular collar, but they do have their uses.

I like using harnesses, especially on the small dogs who have slipped out of their collars before. I'm going to have to buy a new one for Sammy though, because I accidentally left his where he could reach it and he shredded it.

I can barely stand a collar on my dog. They come off as soon as the dogs come inside, harness just look uncomfortable to me. Better to obedience train and not have to depend on either.

^^^^ My feelings exactly. I miss living where there is no leash law. Walker heels perfectly off leash and behaves like a gentleman. Also in a town like the one I lived in most dogs are that way or at least arent aggrressive. THe only aggression problem I had was the guy behind our house and he never took his dogs out so I didnt have to worry about them much. Cities just plain suck.
