Hmm, so I dont get what youre trying to say. Just buy her some salmon oil pills? is that the same thing, just this is under a fancy name?
My Pomeranian is shedding so much right now its unbearable. she may be shedding so much because she's in heat. But all year long, theres hair everywhere. I'm just trying to find a good enough solution. |

Do you brush her regularly? Also, shedding for Poms is seasonal so this may pass. |

It's been 7 months since your last thread on blowing coat. It's the time of year, a lot of dogs are blowing coat. If it wasn't like this non stop for the last 7 months, it will end.

Bringing the dog to a groomer to have a bath, blowout, brush and possibly a deshed treatment will get all the loose hair out so it won't end up in your house. Check the food you feed.
Here is a pic of a dog I did a deshed treatment on a bit ago. ![]() sorry they may be sideways. and here is one more

If you get your girl fixed, she wont shed as much as she does right now.
Bitches will blow their coats twice a year b/c of going into season(for some reason).. Males tend to only blow their coats once a year. If you get her fixed, she wont blow her coat as badly and possibly only once a year as well. Daily brushing helps with keeping matts away, loose hair gone as well.

we feed her Eagle Pack, Holistic Select.
She gets brushed a couple times with a slicker brush, but it doesnt really seem to get enough out (even though it gets out a lot...). It gets to the point where i would just have to run my hands through her hair and collect all the hair i can get.. We're also planning to fix her, just have to wait a while since she just went through her time. Also, is this deshedding process really good? Because I always thought it messes up their hair somehow, thats just a little too much hair coming out of that coat.. I dont want to come take her home and have her looking like she just got all of hair hair pulled out.. And will it work with her hair? she doesnt seem to have the same hair as the other poms i've seen. hers is thin and straight.. not poofy. |

Slicker brushes run over the top of a coat.. they don't do much.. They certainly don't take out shedding fur. I get more out with a comb on my bitch than anything else I own. A slicker brush just smooths down the top of the coat really makes it look pretty, but doesn't get into the coat the way you would want..
