Does anyone clip/trim their own dog personally? Peanut's hair is growing out again and I think it's time for a trim. Any suggestions/techniques?

we clip daisy at home usually (we heard that the grooming place here cut a dogs ear ) soemtimes we use scissors because we have no good clippers. but we clip her properly ehenever we get the chance, does take ages though adn as a result we permanently have piles of dog hair at our house

Maybe you could take your dog to the groomer or vet and ask to watch the clipping, to get an idea of the best technique? Just a suggestion, it can be frustrating for both you and the dog at first while you're learning, but you'll save a lot of money over the years if you can do it yourself!
