Is it normal for a dog to have a dark red, almost brownish discharge (looks like old blood) 22 days after the start of her heat, and 1-2 weeks after being bred? discharge is not alot, but enough to be noticable for the past couple days, is this just the end of the heat cycle or infection?

It's not terribly uncommon to have a bit of bloody discharge, but, if it smells foul an immediate vet visit is warranted. As well, if it continues, getting her checked out would be in order.

Yes. Totally normal. If you are in doubt, smell the discharge. An infection will often have a rank odor.
