Border Collie/ACD mix or maybe a Border Collie crossed with a Border Collie mix. The face doesn't look Rough to me. Rough Collies have a distinctive face shape.

Border Collie. Purebred, probably, though I wouldn't entirely rule out mixed with a collie. But, probably a collie would fill out the coat and give a little more depth to his body - at least the the mixes I've seen did.

No ACD - an ACD mix would almost certainly be smooth coated or much more moderated coat and the ticking should be heavier. Plus, ACDs are just heavier through the chest. Plus, there's no particular reason to look for ACD in this dog every feature can be explained by Border Collie genetics.

Sables tend to have that white spot on the head that is described as a sure mark of an ACD - there are only a couple pictures here, but you can see some sables at http://www.gis.net/~shepdog/BC_Museu...olorSable.html and http://www.gis.net/~shepdog/BC_Museu...lorSaddle.html
and for ticking http://www.gis.net/~shepdog/BC_Museu...lorTicked.html

BC/ACD too much plushness to the muzzle for Rough Collie IMO.

I would probably just play it safe and say border collie or border collie mix since you can't really know for sure.

My MIL breeds collies so I see them all the time, rough and smooth. The first thing I said to myself was cute collie... LOL! I totally thought rough collie until I saw the ticking on the legs. So I think Rough Collie/Aussie mix. You can see outlines of the distinctive "mask" around the face that rough collies usually have.
