Default Is there really a right and wrong brush for Pomeranians?

I use a slicker on him now as he is a baby shedding baby fur and entering puppy uglies, but I am wondering about another brush to use when he gets his adult coat

Slicker brush would be best. Also passing a metal comb though his coat after brushing is needed in order to get all the mats and undercoat out.

You need to post pictures of your cutie. I love poms!

I did post photos of him three in all on some topic about making logos or banners cant remember where. Is there a board for that? He is in the puppy uglies now

Can you show me a photo of the type of comb I will need please? Can you look on google and either provide the link or the pic of the comb? thanks

is there right and wrong? no. different dogs need different brushes, even within the same breed. generally poms have undercoat and shed and need to be brushed frequently. but not all are the same, some have more undercoat, some have less. if your dog falls into the big shedding pom, then a slicker may not do the job (however is still good for right now while the dog is still a puppy and growing out its coat). You def. need a comb. here is the comb that i like:
http://grooming.petedge.com/Master-G...CategoryId=479
really, any double sided metal comb on that site will do.

then you need an undercoat rake. like this one
http://grooming.petedge.com/Master-G...CategoryId=480
you will need to judge what kind of rake to get based on the amount of undercoat. if it is minimul, get a rake with a single row and one that is not very big (usually the container has info about what kind of dogs that tool is good for). be careful with these tools, always brush away from the skin, and not to brush one area too much.

Thanks Duncan for the links and pics of the rakes and combs. Where I live I have seen the rakes and a comb type thing but not like that comb. This one has a handle and the comb was in the front. the rakes I have seen but not small needles only seems to be for huge dogs. But will keep checking. Maybe ebay may have something. It seem to me that his undercoat will be quite thick like his mother and father.
