Default What do you think about Nature's Variety?

http://www.naturesvariety.com/

I've looked at the ingredient list over and over again. It looks good to me, but, I still have a difficult time identifing quality dog foods.

Here is the ingredient list for Lamb Kibble:
INGREDIENTS
Lamb, Brown Rice, Barley, Oatmeal, Canola Oil (Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols and Citric Acid), Flaxseed, Menhaden Fish, Suncured Alfalfa Meal, Montmorillonite, Flaxseed Oil, Freeze Dried Lamb, Freeze Dried Lamb Liver, Freeze Dried Salmon Oil, Sweet Potatoes, Apples, Carrots, Peas, Broccoli, Cabbage, Kale, Parsley, Blueberries, Cranberry, Kelp, Artichoke, Inulin, Rosemary, Sage, Clove, Fermentation Products (Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Product Dehydrated, Bifidobacterium Thermophilum Fermentation Product Dehydrated, Enterococcus Faecium Fermentation Product Dehydrated), Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Cobalt Amino Acid Chelate, Calcium Carbonate, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (a source of Vitamin C), Carotene, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Calcium Pantothenate, Niacin Supplement, Folic Acid, Riboflavin Supplement, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex, Biotin, Choline Chloride, Manganous Oxide, Copper Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Ethylenediamine Dihydriodide, Ferrous Sulfate, Sodium Selenite, and Vitamin B12 Supplement.

They also offer canned, freeze dried etc. I am thinking of distributing this food. We already have some one in the area distributing Innova and California Naturals (Natura products), this was my first choice of dog food to distribute. Then I was thinking of Old Mother Hubbard (I am still going to distribute this food), and Canidae...I changed my mind when I found out Proctor and Gamble took over
I just want a good quality dog food to offer my customer's and of course my own dogs.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

do we really have proof of that, or is it still an unfounded rumor?

as for nature's variety, it's definitely nice food. they have a few good supplements too.

Thank you Mordy. I just heard about Canidae on this forum. I'm really hoping it's not true about Proctor & Gamble.
I think I will offer Natures Variety to our customer's. Now they will have a choice between Natura products, Old Mother Hubbard, Solid Gold, Eagle Pack and now...Nature's Variety! We advise our customers with dogs that have allergies to try California Naturals, they seem to do well on this.

sounds good to me.

by the way, i have not managed to find any leads on the above story. you have the leverage of wanting to become a distributor, so i'd say give them a call and see what they have to tell you. they might be more open with you than with just a random person.

Thank you Mordy. I did contact them by e-mail and the Vice President of sales got back in touch with me and answered all my questions. I am very impressed by their prompt response and good customer relations. They are going to send me out additional information and help me get started selling their product. The rep I was speaking with in my area still hasn't sent me my catalogue and this has been requested for a few weeks.
