Hi, I'm new to this forum and am looking for someone out there, be it a Pap owner or a groomer that can give me some advise. I am considering shaving my Pap's bodies and just leaving the tail hair (yes hair) and from the neck up long. The reason for this is we have a very small soft "bur" in our yard this season and they are really getting to be a pain, for Rowdy, Truly and myself. What I don't know is will it be harmful to them. I would not want to risk anything by doing this.
Any help in this will be much appreciated. Jill |

I've always heard, in conversation, that shaving a dog - especially one with a light colored coat - can leave them vulnerable to sunburns and subsequent skin cancers.
If you'll go to a local farmer's co-op, they can advise you on how to get rid of the burr-bearing weeds. |
