Summer is Coming to an End and I Haven't Had Any Fried Green Tomatoes
Title pretty much sums it up . . .
So, what integral part of summer have you almost missed?

Boiled peanuts.
I can't believe I haven't had any, although it might just be about the right time for peanuts now. I'm going to my parents this weekend, so maybe this will be when I get them. I can never remember just when in the summer they come in. I know they have an early crop, in July, I think, and I didn't get any then. Those aren't the best ones, though, so maybe this trip............

I've never had fried green tomatoes.
 I really haven't been able to enjoy my usual summer pleasures. It's been a strange one for me.
