Post What breeds have the black/tan saddle pattern?

GSD and what else?
Any others; reason I ask is so many mixes have this marking; is it all GSD, mostly? Any other breeds that produce it.

A *lot* of breeds have this pattern, I think. Border Collies have it too, though it's less noticeable with their white markings.

What I thought was interesting was this dog- this was his color process, all the same dog as he is aging.

4 weeks

9 weeks

18 weeks

And, as posted above, at 20 months

More on saddle patterned Border Collies.

Beagles, foxhounds, etc I believe. Some small hair breeds, such as Lhasas look like they could have it.

Whoa, coolness! I never saw that pattern on a Corgi before.
