Why does everyone think brindled dogs are Catahoula mixes? I thought all catahoulas were merled. I don't even think they come in brindle!

Merle is more common, but they do come in brindle. And I agree on a plott/lab or catahoula/lab mix. Something about the face says "lab" to me.

I think if he were all black my first guess would be lab. Not only is he a pretty boy but he is also a good boy. The brindle throws me off. He does not have any white on him at all, brindle thoughout.
He has a full tail and he is pretty tall. I will try and get a body shot. Everytime I go over to his pen he sits. so far we have Plott/lab, Catahoula mix, moutain cur mix, pittie mix ( I really dont see any of that though). I could always call him a labotthoulacur. My own designer breed!!!:

I would say a Cur which is bascially a mix anyways.
I would venture to lean more towards a Mountain Cur than a Catahoula Cur. And nothing about that dog resembles any of the 'pit bull' breeds. |

I still think he looks like a lab/plott mix. Many coonhound people object to almost all-black plotts, claiming tnhey look like labs. They refer to these dogs as plabs, or my favorite, Plabbotts. Hows that for a name?
