Default A true friend defined

I had a pulmonary edema on the 6th due to the procedure I was having and my lungs absorbed the fluid they use to get the hysteroscopy thing around. I was supposed to be there for 3 hours and ended up being there 12. I picked Biz up that Sunday from Napa and Gabbi stayed for her training. I went to my dr on the 9th since I was still coughing and couldn't catch my breath and he sent me to the ER for a CT to find I have blood clots in my lungs - a pulmonary embolism! I was admitted that day. I had left Biz outside thinking I'd be right back w/an inhaler or something. The dr came in and said youre being admitted. I said what about my dog? He said that's the least of my worries, this is serious and can be fatal. (The original clot was found in my left leg) I called my friend, who works graveyard and she came right over and picked him up and has kept him all week. I was released yesterday after 5 nights in the stupid hospital. She is going to keep him a few days longer since I am still coughing and slowly getting back to normal. Thank God Gabbi was in Napa in that training class. She is keeping her til I am ready as well. Talk about timing.
I can't even believe all this happened. Now I am on that coumadin for 6 months and a blood test every week. Here they are Biz & Stevie - they look ok together don't they? I'm so glad I had him neutered.

If she doesn't define friend, I don't know what does.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, but what a fantastic friend you have! It's nice to know that someone has your back.

Oh my! I'm so sorry to hear of your complications.

I'm so glad that you have a true friend that you can turn to. They are a rare find these days.
