Thumbs up Hi there dog lovers

I am Sonya from Nowra NSW. I have a foxie named Buffy and a smooth coat chihuahua named Sharkbait. I also have a 6kg black cat named Bear and lots of tropical fish.
I am interested in talking to people about teacup chihuahuas and "Chijacks". What are they, what do they look like? I look forward to meeting and chatting with people.

Hi and welcome to Chazhound! Well I teacup Chihuahua does not exist. A Chihuahua's bred standard says they can be 2-6 pounds. BAD breeders decided that when they get Chihuahuas on the smaller side of the scale (2 pounds)they will call them "teacups" so that they can make more money off of them SO don't ever buy from a breeder that sells "Teacup" Chihuahuas.

I've never heard of a chijack but I can guess what it is. It's probably another mutt created by bad breeders to make money. Sounds like a mix between a Chihuahua and a Jack Russel terrier. BAD breeders found that people liked the mixed dogs they bred so they made more and more (great help for dog over population ) for more and more money. It is very irresponsible to do. If you want a chi-jack go to a shelter where they are waiting for homes (that's the sad thing about BAD breeders you can get just as god of a dog or even better at a shelter but you go to the bad breeder and let a shelter dog die, with GOOD breeders there is a benefit of getting a dog from them, it is hard to find a GOOD breeder quality dog in a shelter) here are some chi-jacks waiting for homes:

I might be able to find some "Teacups" on petfinder but it's harder since I'll have to go through them all and some don't list weights. Here we do not have a high opinion of designer dog breeders.

I'd love to see pictures of your dogs and hope you enjoy the forum

Welcome to the forum!

I was going to tell you about how there is no such thing as a "teacup," but it looks like Maxy has it all covered
