Meet Spike!


He is my friend's husband's dog who needs to be rehomed. Spike is a doberman/lab/rhodesian ridgeback mix (his dad was the lab/ridgeback).My friend's husband, Carl, is moving soon and cannot afford to take care of two dogs anymore. He is keeping Spike's mom, Pandy (short for Pandora, the one who gave birth to the inbred puppies :/), but needs to find a home for Spike ASAP. Spike is good with other dogs big and small, and also good with cats. He is housetrained and trained to stay off the furniture. He is also neutered. Spike is very sweet, but should go to a home with kids 10+ because he's a big goofball who doesn't know his own strength! Some basic training and exercise a couple times a day would be good for him. Right now he just lives either in the back yard (where he digs holes out of boredom) or shut in the laundry room because they are selling the house and getting it ready to show. Carl is the original owner, yes. He owns Spike's mom. I don't know how much Spike weighs, I think about 85lbs.

FOHA, the rescue I volunteer for, is going to list him. I guess I could also send his pic and bio to DAR&E. I didn't think about that, since he is a mutt.

I saw a couple Dobe/mutt mixes on their listing, and at least three Dobe/Rottweiler mixes on their courtesy listings.

Get some CUTE pictures of him, though, in good lighting, and upload them to something like photobucket and ask DAR&E to add the link.

*sigh* The reason i was asking was because someone had taken my dad's dog as a temporary thing and then the hurricane hit. we haven't seen him since. We don't even know if he is alive. He looks like a Dobe mix and his name is Spyke. He is a sweet, adorable lovable guy and my dad is just so depressed about him.
