My 1-year-old cat Stanley has allergies. Well, last night he was sitting on the kitchen table and he started having one of his sneezing fits where he sneezed like 20 times, one after another, until his nose started bleeding. It only bleeds a drop or two, but this is the second time this has happened. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?
My vet recommends Megace pills, but they are a steroid and make them gain A LOT of weight, so I really don't want to give them to him if I can help it. The allergies just make him sneeze, nothing else, but the nose bleeds kinda scare me if ya know what I mean.

Steroids are terrible things to put an animal on for long term - good for you for trying to avoid them!
What is it that Stanley is allergic to?

Well, he tends to sneeze a lot after I do laundry, I'm pretty sure it's the fabric softener. Sometimes, he just sneezes, and sneezes, and sneezes some more, but I can't figure out what causes it.
