Default So I took in 2 baby Green Iguanas.

-sigh-

I just cant help taking in animals that are going to get thrown away.

The cook at my work moved and couldn't take his pets with him so i kind of adopted them i guess.

They dont have any names yet. I know you all are good with helping out dog names.. maybe you could make an exception for this scaly 4 legged friends?

They are too young to sex yet so maybe some name suitable for any gender would be good.

They are a bit hard to handle yet, as they are not tamed too well.
They are only about a foot and a half big, and will grow up to 5ft. (for those unfamiliar with iguanas)

My father and I spent 280$ to build them a 6x2x3 ft habitat out of wood and plexie glass, it shall be interesting....

Wish me luck with these crazy guys!

Edit
oh! The dogs are VERY curious.

We had an iguana after my sis and I moved away from home. It was hers really. They are hard to keep. She named 'him' Mr. Blue because his head had a bit of blue on it. Much later we realized he was most likely a girl. He was quite a character! Lots of work. Most of the time we let him run around the apartment and I'd find him hanging in the closet or staring down at me from somewhere. Quite often we'd leave the gas fireplace on and he'd lounge in front of it all day. My uncle built a HUGE cage for him. It took up two windows in the apartment and he spent most of his time in there. He'd only poop if we gave him a bath in warm water (made for easy clean up!) lol and was just an odd pet. I'm sure you'll have fun with yours. Mr. Blue ended up getting quite sick. I had moved out by then so I can't remember all the details but it was some sort of nutrient deficiency. It was always really hard to get him to eat. Anything! He ate one of my pet mice though The vet told my sis that if they aren't introduced to a wide variety of food as wee babies they often get deficiencies like that. Anyway, he ended up dying. She took him in to get shots of ______ (I'll have to ask her what it was!) but it didn't help. Poor Mr. Blue. Err, Mrs.? Blue. lol

I have lots of memories of him. Yours are beautiful. Keep us updated on how it goes.

I dunno.. Chemistry seems like a fun name! Emerald, anything gemstonish, Silk.. that is so sad. I can only come up with three names for you. *sigh* If you like people names--I don't--there are so many name generators. If you like names from random objects/plants/etc, look around you... Iris and Tulip are beautiful classics. If you just want pretty names that aren't necessarily within the 'norm' I have several Tamora pierce books, Anne McCaffrey books, and Susan Brittains.. I can look in their indexes and give you lists and lists of purdy names, if you're interested!

They look absolutely stunning! That's something to brag about! I suggest "Godzilla" for the name. Can't wait to see some more photos of them! Good luck!!!
