Avenlee, does that mean you are like in Yankee candle territory? Well close to it? I've only been out there once but seems Springfield was close to CT border and somewhere close to there we went to yankee candles. Its so pretty out that way but way more traffic than I can handle.

Right now the plans are to go to the Finger Lakes area upper NY ( 1st night stop will be Erie.) Then on to Burlington VT via the
Andirondaks , The next stops ( though maybe not in order ) are " Two Dog Lodge" Stowe , VT " The Dog Chapel ", St Johnsbury VT , Lake Spofford ,Spofford NH. , possibly Bar Harbor ME , Acadia Park., Ipswich, MA and home through Penn stopping at the Goldstock golden rescue at Camp Wee Quahic, Lakewood ,Penn.

I'm in Holyoke, work in Springfield. Yankee Candle is in Deerfield, about 1/2 hour lovely drive from me (quicker if you went the highway, but I like the scenic trip) It is sooo nice up there. Me and the hubby and kids take trips up Rt. 5 up to Vermont often (stopping at little shops, tag sales and vegitable stands) Its really a nice drive.

We have friends who live in Chicopee, they come out to visit about once a year. My husband also has family that live in Springfield and Chicopee. We ate at some resturant on the mountain from there went to Yankee Candle. From this resturant you could look down at the city. It was so pretty.

Oh wow, SMALL world! Chicopee is only a bridge away. Next town over from Holyoke. The resturaunt that you ate at might be The Log Cabin?? or the Four Seasons (I think they changed ownership and name since I remembered)? They are both located on top of Rte. 141 and a mountain going into Easthampton. Although I realize there are many mountain top resturaunts around.

And, Bubb, I know Stowe, VT and Ipswitch, MA. They a bit far from me however. We'll have to converse as the timing comes closer to see if we all can meet up. That would be great!

I heard of Haverhill, but never came accross it in my travels, that I know of lol. Must be up more north than me. I'm more close to the CT border. A hop, skip and a jump.

Wow, I can't believe how close some of you are to me. I'm in South Windsor, CT, which is next to Hartford. It's a small world!
