i've come across it so many times and i still love it.

i wouldnt be able to ony have chi's though. i really do prefer medium dogs. and i dunno if i'd get it from a breeder. but i'd definetly rescue them. lol

Do a lot of breeders title in dog sports (agility, flyball, etc.)? I have seen a few MACH Chi's, but do a lot of breeders participate in events other than confirmation?
most breeders do not title their dogs in any sports, comfirmation seems to be the only real "testing method" (they dont have a compertition to judge the best bed warmer lol)
However alot are now slowly realizing this breed isnt just a pretty face.
im happy to see more an more cihs with thier start in agility and obedience, im even happier to see more and more breeders going out of their way to get their CGC on their adult dogs, and many do therapy work with their chis

Do a lot of breeders require a fenced yard like larger breeds?
Most dont. this breed can get enough healthy excersize by running round the home, they do enjoy a nice long walk or some offleash play outside, but unlike many larger breeds a yard is not nessicary. this is especially true because the breed should NEVER be outside unsupervised anyway (my 3lb male had a run in with a turkey vulture the other day, luckily the vulture was young and there carion birds so wernt interested in a live chihuahua, but large birds of prey as well as other predators sometimes veiw chis as an easy meal.

Are Chi's generally good with small animal pets (rodents, birds, etc.) or do they have a higher prey drive?
We have a goffins cockatoo, and we had rats, the chis were excelent with the ratties, vixie would bathe them. they showinterest in the bird but its more a "what on earth is that" kind of interest not an "ooo lunch" interest. the bird usually tells them where to go anyway. they never bothered with our cockateil either.

insects are not safe, so if your a bug collector, for some reason chis realy like an insect based meal when they can get them, i also dont think id trust them with mice either, i doubt most chis would go after anything bigger than a mouse in terms of hunting instinct. most chis will chase anything that moves, but that last step they just dont seem to be interested in anything bigger than a mouse or large grasshopper.

How drivey are Chihuahuas?
this realy depends on the individual chi, chis are very much individuals.
ive met chis with more drive than a bc and chis that are real laid back.
i will say this though, with ANY chi, if they see something they REALY want, they will get it one way or another.

I think they are neat little guys.My daughter has two. I am just glad that her two are not the size of great danes lol they have the attitude like they are.

I agree that they're very good. Depends on how they're socialised though, just like all dogs. But my boy is great with everything down to the size of a mouse. I know he's terrible with mice (worse in his younger days) because I've seen him try to kill a couple. lol

Jesse pretty much ignores my two cockatiels, even when they decide to walk over him or my female grabs a few tail hairs for luck (I've never seen her build a nest Hahaha! I guess instinct just makes her collect stuff like that).
