Is it okay to just boil deboned meat in water before feeding it? I think you lose some nutritional content, and I definitly should not cook the meat with oil or butter, but other than that does anyone see any potential problems?
I know there's very little risk of bacterial problems for the dog when the meat is frozen and handled correctly, but I'd like to boil it just in case if it's all the same. Thanks

You could always add some of the broth to the kibble after it has cooled down...

Oh, I'm trying to get away from the kibble. I want to feed raw, except cooked; if that makes any sense

the problem with doing a cooked meat diet is you should never cook the bones, and the dog need a balance of bone and meat.
if your doing cooked meat then you will realy need to add a supliment.

Would it be okay to cook the meat, grind the bones, and then mixing the ground bones in? I lose the teeth cleaning benefits, but I brush his teeth anyways.

grind the raw bones, yes.
regarding the teeth, why not give a nice big marrow bone for that? |
