Talking I'm so excited!!!
I'm going to get my first REAL fish tank with a filter and such...I'm so excited!!! I'll definatlly post pics!!

I'm also going 2 get a fish that isn't a feeder or betta...although I love them both..I've always wondered what it would be like to get a diffrent kinda fish!!

i to, have decided i'm a fish tank junkie. lol still a lot to learn but i get so much fun out of my fishies.

i plan on getting a second tank int he next year or so.

I have a feeling I'm becoming a fish freak..lol

I LOVE my new fishy!! He's a fantail goldfish I think..I call him Ninja Fish, cuz he seriously looks like a ninja.. lol ... anyway the tank is cheap, I'm only 15 and only have so much money I got a $17 doller tank from Kmart..and thats just what it is...lol

I put him with my feeder fish I got at a fair last August (I don't know why, but my feeder fish I get at fairs always live super long, one once lives for like 5 years!! ) and they love each other..they are always swimming side by side, which makes me wonder..Are fish social animals??

Yes, fish CAN be social aniamsl, depends on the species.

What size tank are they in?

it's a two gallon, which I've already cleaned once since I've had it.. and kinda changed half the water the another time...

I want to get a bigger tank, since I know two gallons is way small for two goldfish since their so dirty..but I'll just have to keep up with the cleaning till I can afford a better one..

Wow! Won't be able to have that for long!

Yes, like you said goldfish are VERY dirty and can get big. I would get a 20g.

Do you have a good filter system?

I have had lots of luck finding free/cheap tanks on craigslist and stuff.

Seeing as the filter system came with the tank...I don't think It's that good at all..lol

but I'm going to the thrift store soon and they always have huge fish tanks for like 10 bucks..so I'll probablly get lucky there..as for a filter I'll probably have good luck looking in craigslist..
