Sassy is definitely in doggie heaven with all our loved ones. She will be in your heart and memories forever. It's so hard when our loved one leaves us, but I couldn't image life without them. We give them love and they give it back to us with so much more. The love you and Sassy shared is a special one that will never be forgotten.

I just saw this in poems I've saved:

Beyond the Rainbow

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble free.
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful rainbow and on the other side,
Were meadows rich and beautiful, lush and green and wide.
And running through the meadows, as far as the eye could see.
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be.
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to to and run with them but had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright,
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright glow pierced the night.
'Twas the glow of many candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in it's brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart.
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Here's a proverb that says it all:

There's an old american eskimo proverb that says

"Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."

RIP Sassy, and hugs to you. I had to put down my great pyraneese one and a half years ago, and it still bothers me, but it had to be done. Stay strong, and know we are with you.

You guys keep making me cry!

Thanks for all the sweet sentiments and poems and such. I have copied them all.

Everyday I visit her, I brought her flowers yesterday and a toy today.

I placed her on the fur rug that she used to sleep on, so I know when it gets cold she'll be warm.

I will never get another animal as long as I live. Not if I have to say good bye to them at some point. I guess you simply do not realize that that day has to come.

It is truely heartbreaking and I must really be a wuss, because I am having the hardest time.

I want to believe that she is in heaven. I want to think God has called her as a playmate for some lonely child, or she is running with other animals as happy as can be. I prayed and asked God to take care of her last night.

But what if-just WHAT IF dogs dont go to heaven? WHO is taking care of her? Is she worrying about us? Is she scared wherever she is? Can she be with my grandpa by any chance? These are all questions that make it so hard.

I guess thats where your faith comes in. What you believe in. My faith is tried these days, maybe that's why I am having such a hard time.

But, got to believe....hope is all I have.

And a bunch more puppies that I love and worship, and if I ever lose them, I dont know what Id do.

Told you I was alittle weird like that....Im not your typical dog lover, its more then that. I raise them as my children, wipe noses, give bathes, wash bedding, feed water, cuddle, talk to, they are my kids, wipe eyes, massage sore legs.....etc.

anyway, thansk again guys. I love you guys!

Ohhhh Mach, I am soooo sorry for your loss. I will be keeping you in my thoughts. I know what you mean about your dogs too. I love mine the same way. But even as much as it hurts I can't imagine life without them.

RIP Sassy.

I'm so sorry Mach1, I've been there too as most of here have. There are no words to ease your pain, except to say that we understand and that feel for you. (((((((hugs)))))))
RIP dear Sassy.
