Home Made Treats?

I am thinking of making my own treats. I have found many recipes online. I want to know if anyone here has been making treats? If so, has it been cheaper than buying them? I never give my dog any human food, so I don't know if it's safe to make my own Any info would be most helpful.

I make liver trets, and yes it is less expensive. Basically $3 will last for weeks.

I made biscuits and Tosca liked them but it's not a good barometer. Tosca will eat anything. I took a little bite myself and they seemed kind of bland. But then I have no biscuits to compare it to as I never tasted commercial biscuits.
