Omg if only I could afford a piedball!!! Their still 5 grand or so CDN here, I usually go on reptilescanada.com since I'm in Canada and most of the members on their are more local in that sense. Awww squirtsmom you really can't say their gross until you see a perfectly tame and handable one, their actually not slimy at all and are great to have around the yard as

1) They keep mice and rat populations in check

and

2) all you need to do to prevent you or your loved ones from being bit by both nonvenomous and venomous snakes is to teach your kids and family members that when you see a wildsnake to simply get up and go inside, 90***37; of venomous bites occur from morons trying to kill them, and yes even if you do decpiatate the poor defenceless animal they can still bite you as the nerves are still active and their have been people sent to the hospital after doing such a thing

and

3) on average 2-5 people actually die a year from snake bites, 90% of which occur during an attempt to kill them or by people who are intoxicated and want to try and catch it.

Just a bit of positive snake info for anyone who sees one in the yard, also it's important to note that many venomous snakes are protected by law so you shouldn't be trying to kill any of them period.
