I have two questions about my Leopard Gecko.
-Is his skin tender when he's just shed his skin? He shed his skin yesterday, but when I went to mist the moss in his cage, he seemed like it hurt him when I got some of the water on him.....Later on I tried to hold him, and he seemed really mad, so I didn't, thinking his skin might be tender. -Is he lonely? Do they enjoy company? He does this thing a LOT where he acts like he's playing with his reflection. He'll go up to the side of the tank, and kinda put his foot up to the glass, and try to "play" and then he'll lay down, and start licking his reflection.... Is this normal? I'd be happy to get another one, but I read that males shouldn't be housed together. What should I do?Thanks in advance!!! I'll post some pictures later, and a video of him "playing" with his reflection.

I am not sure, I have a leopard gecko but really am not sure about it. Maybe. If he doesnt like it after he sheds, maybe its just one of his charesteristics. -Is he lonely? Do they enjoy company? Does he lick the mist or is there no mist whatsoever when he licks it? My girl will stand up against the glass and kind of look at her reflection and "play". She does enjoy company. I have had other leos with her before. |

Thanks for your reply! I've been thinking about getting another one, but while I wouldn't mind a litter or two of little guys, I'm sure I'd be overwhelmed with babies eventually. Do males do okay when housed together? Can females be spayed???

I dont think females can be spayed. If you do breed I would love a baby if you could raise it until it was medium sized and just over being juvinile
How big is your tank? You can also find homes for the babies easily, a few good pet stores would also accept them and you could get $20 for each, although thats not the point If you do breed them or are thinking about it tho, tell me because I am looking for another!

I'll let you know if we get a female.
![]() I'd be happy to ship one up to you! Who ships geckos? Would UPS do it? I know when I was going to get a litter of Gerbils (the lady sold them though, so I didn't end up taking them) she was going to UPS them to me. I'll do some researching on it.

I'm not 100% sure about them eating babies but I'd say they probably do because babies are small and move and that's what a leopard gecko will eat. I do no that you cannot house two males because they will kill each other. Do you know the gender of the one you have now?

I'm PRETTY sure he's a male. The employee that sold him (or her) to us said it looked like a male. Does anyone have any pictures of a male and a female?

Ya, I think UPS will ship them. Let me know if you are pretty sure about getting one
![]() They probably will eat the babies. Thats why you switch the eggs into a seperate heated tank and right when they are born and are about 4 inches long you can sell them. Take a visit to this site to see if you have a male or female. Scroll down a little and there will be pictures. http://www.vmsherp.com/LCBreedingLeopards.htm |
